Fabrik Salon & Mirror Mirror had all the pieces for client outreach and growth—email software, a large client list, QR codes, strong services—but none of it was working. MailChimp sat unused. QR codes had been broken for years. Instagram was locked. And no one could figure out how to get started. With clients walking through the door daily, it was clear the systems needed to be cleaned up and activated—quickly and strategically.

Our partnership with Fabrik started before we officially launched. At first, it was simply helping a friend untangle some tech—but it quickly grew into a full-scale digital cleanup. We integrated their Phorest system with MailChimp in a matter of hours and showed the team how to manage it moving forward. We tracked down and fixed broken QR codes that had been live (and unused) for years. We helped recover their Instagram login. And we began supporting their website’s SEO while planning a full redesign. Every piece was built to be useful—not flashy. Simple systems, finally working.

The challenge

Tools were in place—but nothing was connected

Fabrik had been paying for MailChimp for weeks but couldn’t send a single email. Client data was locked in Phorest with no integration. QR codes were posted around the salon, but they didn’t work. Reviews were hard to collect because there wasn’t a clear flow or direction. Instagram had been locked for weeks. Their site had never been optimized. And with new ownership and a sister brand now in place, they needed everything to be unified.

The solution

Connect, simplify, & activate what was already there

We created a simple, repeatable process to pull Phorest contact data into MailChimp and trained staff on how to use it. Their first email campaign went out that day. QR codes throughout the salon were tested and reconnected to live links—review forms, booking pages, newsletter sign-ups. We also designed new codes for added impact. We walked Kitty through Instagram recovery so she could get access back and post again. We then addressed some basic SEO issues—things like broken links and missing titles—and began working toward a site that’s easier to use, more aligned with their brand, and ready to grow with them.

The results

Streamlined experience & updated brand driving engagement!

MailChimp is now live and in use. QR codes work and are used regularly. Email marketing is active and up, and the team runs it themselves. Reviews are easier to ask for—and get. Their local visibility and traffic have already improved. More applications! Their site is still in progress, but results are already showing. And meanwhile, Kitty has started recording podcast episodes with our help—giving her a new space to speak directly to beauty professionals and build her voice.
