What Stigma Is Up To Now

There's always something going on. Unlike our About page, this is about whatever Stigma M&D is currently up to and focused on. We got our reboot in 2024 and took a year to clarify our model and figure out what it was we did. Check out below what we're up to currently.

Simplifying Spinning Plates

First up: after putting it off for almost seven months, the Stigma M&D website relaunch is finally live. There were plenty of reasons for the delay (expect a blog post soon), but mostly—it was the hustle. I’ve been focused on paying bills, supporting my clients, and trying to find the right new ones. And honestly? As a Missoula-based marketing and development consultant, my website hasn’t been the most direct way I get clients. Referrals, community relationships, and my local network have always done more.

In the upcoming blog post, I’ll be writing about website relaunches and redesigns, especially from the lens of an entrepreneur bootstrapping a business. A website can be a powerful tool—or a huge distraction. Stay tuned.

That said, the site is live and—while not 100%—it’s finally functional and reflective of what Stigma is becoming. There are still small pieces to tighten and some new features to add, but the bones and the meat are there. Compared to the last version, it’s miles ahead—and the backend actually works.

Coaching has been a huge part of my growth this past year. Around six months ago, I started getting coached by Paul Gladen of Hellgate Venture Network, and it’s been a game-changer. He helped pull me out of my own head and get clear on how I’m running Stigma as a business. Through him, I also got connected to a financial coach who’s helped me face some of my long-standing money fears—residue from my past. Money still stresses me out (especially as I make more), but I’m learning. I highly recommend checking out the Rocky Mountain Women’s Business Center if you’re building something in Montana and need support. I’m not a woman, and I still got help there. Proud to say it.

The other big thing in motion: Every Human’s Journey is finally in its testing phase—and it’s officially available on Amazon. I’m working on building out the EHJ website further over the next couple weeks, including making the Free Group Kit PDF available for download. Once I have physical copies in hand, and both the Stigma and EHJ sites are live and functional, I’ll be focusing on reconnecting with people—following up on old leads, nurturing new ones, and slowly pushing EHJ into the world. This program has been a long time coming.

Also: I’ve been learning (and re-learning) that time takes time. As a recovering alcoholic with almost four years of sobriety, some lessons take longer to land. But that’s been a gift in disguise—it’s allowed me to grow slowly, and to build Stigma M&D from a place of clarity and care.

Right now, Stigma M&D supports six retainer partners, has a new website, is managing a publication project, and is launching training offerings and a new program/product (EHJ). I catch myself thinking not much has happened this past year—but that’s just not true. With a few of the big spinning plates finally slowing down, I’m starting to shift into the next phase: organizing the back end, refining systems, and building capacity.

The big internal goal for the year ahead? Hiring someone.

That’s the “Now.” This page will evolve and eventually archive older entries—but for now, it’s the best place to check in and see what’s happening at Stigma Marketing & Development, here in Missoula and beyond.
